On July 1, 2020, the first tourist charters of Ukrainian airline companies landed in Hurghada and Sharm el-Sheikh. A total of 327 tourists from Ukraine arrived to spend their vacations in popular Egyptian resorts.

These are the first international tourist flights after the official permission of the Egyptian authorities to resume the reception of tourists from abroad. Egypt remains one of the favorite destinations for Ukrainian tourists.

In 2019, around 1,500,000 Ukrainians spent their vacations in Egypt.
