What is document legalization?
Legalization is the process where we verify the signature, seal or stamp on a document. We compare it to what we have on record.
Once we confirm the match, we attach an authentication stamp to it.
The authentication stamp verifies the signature and/or seal on the document. You can then present it to the competent authority in Ukraine or in Egypt who asked you for it.
Documents we can legalize
We can legalize various types of documents for use in Ukraine or in Egypt. Documents must be Ukrainian/Egyptian public documents. This means:
How and where to apply documents for legalization
For an Egyptian document to be used in Ukraine, it has to be legalized by the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Egypt (have a legalization stamp on it - example)
For an Ukrainian document to be used in Egypt, it has to be legalized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Ukraine (have a legalization stamp on it - example)
You have to fill out an applicationform and submit your documents at the Consular section of the Embassy during working hours (form in English, form in Arabic)
The legalization process is done in 5 working days. As a matter of urgency, legalization is done on the same day at a double tariff rate of the consular fee.
Please follow the link to check the tariff of the consular fee.
NOTE! In order to legalize a document for someone else, you must submit a Power of Attorney (Authorization letter) which gives you the authorization to act on the persons behalf.
