Bilateral trade between Ukraine and Egypt
According to the State Customs Service of Ukraine, in 2024, the total volume of bilateral trade in goods between Ukraine and Egypt amounted to USD 1.855 billion, representing an increase of 44.25% compared to the same period in 2023.
Ukrainian exports to Egypt reached USD 1.636 billion, marking a 50.8% growth.
The main categories of Ukrainian exports included:
– grains and agricultural products – 70%;
– oilseeds and oleaginous fruits – 21.1%;
– metal products – 8%;
– fats and oils – 3.1%;
– residues of the food industry – 2.6%.
Imports from Egypt to Ukraine totalled USD 219 million, showing a 9% increase.
Key import categories were:
– salt, sulfur, and stone – 20%;
– mineral fuels – 19.0%;
– fertilizers – 18.7%;
– edible fruits and nuts – 17.7%;
– vegetables – 6.4%;
– textile garments – 2.4%;
– electrical appliances – 2.1%.
As a result, Ukraine recorded a positive trade balance of USD 1.417 billion.
As of the first quarter of 2025, the total volume of bilateral trade in goods between Ukraine and Egypt amounted to USD 535.6 million.
Ukrainian exports reached USD 454.6 million, with traditional leading positions held by corn, wheat, soybeans, and sunflower oil.
Imports from Egypt stood at USD 81 million, with salt, citrus fruits, and petroleum gases continuing to dominate.
The trade balance remained positive for Ukraine, amounting to USD 373.6 million.
