On June 1, 2021, Yevhen Mykytenko met with the Minister of Tourism and Antiquities of Egypt Dr. Khaled el-Enany. The Egyptian official informed that Ukraine remains the largest consumer of tourist services provided at local resorts for the second year in a row and expressed gratitude to the leadership of the Ukrainian State for promoting the tourist flow. In January-May this year, 715 thousand Ukrainians spent their vacations in Egypt, according to the Ministry.

The parties discussed topical issues and problems that Ukrainian citizens face from time to time during their visits to Egypt, as well as the increasing of services offered in the Ukrainian language, including adding more Ukrainian TV channels in the hotels and the introduction of Ukrainian-language mobile applications at tourist sites etc.
