On June 3, 2021, the Ambassador of Ukraine to Cairo and the staff of the diplomatic Mission of Ukraine visited the headquarters of the Arab Organization for Industrialization, holding talks with the Chairman of the AOI Lt. General A. El Tarras. Ambassador Yevhen Mykytenko acquainted the audience with the results of trade and economic cooperation between Ukraine and Egypt for the five months of 2021 (trade turnover during this period amounted to 684 million US dollars).

The parties discussed promising areas and spheres of bilateral cooperation, as well as ways to establish joint production, including machinery products, with subsequent entry into the markets of Egypt and the countries of the region as well as the African continent.

Agreements were reached to intensify cooperation, including through the exchange of visits.
