On January 22, 2012, Ambassador of Ukraine to the Arab Republic of Egypt Yevhen Kyrylenko held a meeting and negotiations with Mr. Elsayed Hedayt, First Undersecretary for Maritime Affairs, Ministry of Transport of the Arab Republic of Egypt.

During the meeting the interlocutors underlined long historical and business contacts between Ukraine and Egypt and Alexandria and discussed a number of issues of bilateral interest.

In particular, the sides touched upon the issues of establishing direct shipping lines between Ukrainian and Egyptian ports, as well as the necessity of renewal of the legal base of bilateral relationship in the particular spheres of bilateral cooperation.
