On September 28 Charge d’Affaires a.i. of Ukraine in Egypt Valeriy Grygorash held a meeting and negotiations with His Beatitude Damian, Archbishop of Sinai, Farum and Raithu.

The Head of Ukrainian diplomatic mission conveyed a letter of His Beatitude Volodymyr, Metropolitan of Kyiv and all Ukraine in which the latter requested to study the possibility to bring to Ukraine the Right Hand of Saint Catherine, which is being kept in the Sinai Monastery of Saint Catherine (Egypt).

During the meeting the sides discussed also the possible dates of the mission of the Church of His Beatitude Damian to Ukraine during which the relics of the Saint great martyr Catherine could be brought to Ukraine in order to strengthen friendly relations between our Holy Churches, and give a possibility to the thousands of Ukrainian pilgrims to bow to the shrine.
