On January 11, 2023, the Ambassador of Ukraine to Egypt Mykola Nahornyi met with the Secretary General of the League of Arab States Ahmed Abul Gheit.

A letter from the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba was handed over to the Secretary General of the LAS regarding current issues on the cooperation agenda with the League.

During the meeting, the parties discussed ways to intensify cooperation between Ukraine and the Arab League, in particular, the prospects of participation of the League in the implementation of the «Peace Formula» proposed by the President of Ukraine, as well as the expansion of the «Black Sea Grain Initiative».

Ambassador Mykola Nahornyi called on the LAS to play a more active role in the implementation of the above-mentioned Ukrainian initiatives.
