During the meeting the interlocutors discussed ways of strengthening cooperation between Ukraine and the Arab League in the frameworks of the Memorandum of Understanding, as well as Ukraine’s chairmanship in the Organization of Security and Cooperation in Europe, which it assumes in early 2013.

The sides also discussed topical regional issues, among them Middle East Peace process, as well as the crises in Syria. Besides, the Ambassador  draw the attention of the Arab League towards the case of Anhar Kochneva, a Ukrainian citizen, abducted by a group identifying itself as the fighters of the Free Syrian Army in Syria in early October, 2012.
