On June 8, 2012, Embassy of Ukraine in Egypt together with the Embassy of the Polish Republic in Egypt organized a joint event dedicated to the Opening ceremony of the Final tournament of the 14th UEFA European Football Championship, Euro-2012, during which the 1st Match of the Championship was broadcast.

In the frames of the event Ambassador of Ukraine to the Arab Republic of Egypt Yevhen Kyrylenko gave an interview to a leading local TV channel.
