On October 7, 2020, the Embassy of Ukraine in Cairo hosted a round-table discussion and a press conference “Ukraine’s metallurgical industry for the development of Egypt”. The event witnessed the participation of representatives of Ukrainian and Egyptian companies, including Mr. Ghazi Maherzi, Director of «Metinvest» Regional Office, Eng. Amr Salah, Advisory Board Member of «Steel Network», and Mr. Ahmed Hegazi, Founder & CEO of «Steel Network».

Ambassador Yevhen Mykytenko and Counselor Ruslan Nechai spoke at the round table on the state and prospects of Ukrainian investments in the Egyptian economy, including the fields of industry, extraction of natural resources, technologies, and infrastructure and tourism development.

Egyptian company “Steel Network” honored the contribution of the Embassy of Ukraine in Cairo to the development of productive partnerships between Ukraine and Egypt in the metal and steel industry with a symbolic award "Development Partner - 2020".
