On January 9, 2022, Ambassador of Ukraine Yevhen Mykytenko held farewell meetings at the Egyptian Presidency and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Egypt.

Ambassador Mykytenko was received by Faiza Abul-Naga, National Security Adviser to the President of Egypt, with whom the Ukrainian diplomat discussed the dynamics of bilateral partnership with Cairo and considered plans for Ukrainian-Egyptian cooperation at various levels in the near future.

On the same day, the Ambassador of Ukraine met with the Assistant Foreign Minister of Egypt for European Affairs Ambassador Ihab Nasser. The parties summed up the results of political, economic and humanitarian cooperation for the past 3 years and agreed on further intensification of the Ukrainian-Egyptian dialogue and partnership in areas of mutual interest.
