Cairo: 8th Session of the Ukrainian-Egyptian Joint Committee

The 8th Session of the Ukrainian-Egyptian Joint Committee on Economic, Scientific and Technical Cooperation was held in Cairo between December 14th and December 17th 2021.
The Ukrainian delegation was led by H.E. Mrs. Yulia Svyrydenko, First Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine – Minister of Economy of Ukraine, Co-chair of the Ukrainian Side of the Committee.
The Egyptian delegation was led by H.E. Dr. Rania Al-Mashat, Minister of International Cooperation of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Co-chair of the Egyptian Side of the Committee.
The deliberations of the Eighth session of the Committee took place in a cordial atmosphere of mutual understanding, reflecting the friendly relations between the two countries. It was marked by the desire of both Sides to strengthen, further develop and diversify their relations in different sectors on a mutually beneficial basis.
Both Sides expressed their assurances that the Eighth Session of the Committee will have a positive influence on the development of future bilateral cooperation between Ukraine and the Arab Republic of Egypt.
Both Sides welcomed the signing of the following Bilateral Agreements:
The Memorandum of Understanding between the State Space Agency of Ukraine and the Egyptian Space Agency on Space Cooperation and the Peaceful Use of Outer Space, signed by their Heads Mr. Volodymyr Taftai and Dr. Mohamed el-Koosy.
Agreement on Cooperation in the Field of Standardization between the State Enterprise Ukrainian Scientific Research and Training Center for Standardization, Certification and Quality Problems and the Egyptian Organization for Standardization and Quality, signed by Deputy General Director Mr. Oleksandr Kyrianov and EOS Chairman Dr. Eng. Khaled Hassan Soufi.
Protocol of the 8th Session of the Ukrainian-Egyptian Joint Committee on Economic, Scientific and Technical Cooperation, signed by H.E. Mrs. Yulia Svyrydenko, First Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine – Minister of Economy of Ukraine, and H.E. Dr. Rania Al-Mashat, Minister of International Cooperation of the Arab Republic of Egypt.
