On December 1, 2021, Ambassador of Ukraine to Egypt Yevhen Mykytenko held talks with the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Egypt for Parliamentary Affairs Ambassador Assem Hanafy. The parties analyzed the existing legal basis between the two countries as well as the exchange of parliamentary delegations. The Ukrainian diplomat called for the establishment of the Egypt-Ukraine friendship group in the House of Representatives as soon as possible (such a group has been active in the Ukrainian Parliament for two years now).
