Mr. Eugene Czolij, Ukrainian World Congress (UWC) President on October 15-16 fulfilled a working visit to Egypt which was his first trip to African continent.

In Cairo UWC President had a meeting with members of “Egypt-Ukraine” House of Representatives’ parliamentary friendship group. At the Embassy of Ukraine he had a warm and mutually interested meeting with activists of Ukrainian community in Cairo.

During his visit to Alexandria Mr. Czolij visited world-famous Bibliotheca Alexandrina to put flowers to the bronze plaque dedicated to the prominent Ukrainian writer and poetess Lesya Ukrainka and to associate there with Ukrainian women living in the city.

 After his stay in Egypt UWC President left for Tunisia.
