On June 30, 2012, H.E. Yevhen Kyrylenko, Ambassador of Ukraine to Egypt, took part in the event during which the newly-elected President of the Arab Republic of Egypt Dr.Mohammed Morsi gave his first presidential address after the swearing-in ceremony at the Supreme Constitutional Court.

In his address Dr.Morsi promised to be a servant of the people in a democratic, modern and constitutional state.

The event was held in the Great Hall of Cairo University. It was attended by the representatives of the Supreme Council of the Armed Forces, members of the previous government and parliament, opposition figures, Muslim clerics and Coptic priests, famous cultural workers and numerous representatives of the diplomatic corps.
