On the occasion of the Independence Day of Ukraine, Mr. Yevhen Kyrylenko, Ambassador of Ukraine to the ARE, had a meeting with Mr. Moatar Hassan, Deputy Chief of Protocol, Office of the President of the ARE.

Mr. M.Hassan, on behalf of Mr. A.Mansour, the interim president of the Arab Republic of Egypt, conveyed warm greetings to Mr. V.Yanukovych, President of Ukraine; Mr. M.Azarov, Prime Minister, Mr. L.Kozhara, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, as well as to the entire Ukrainian people on the occasion of the 22^nd anniversary of our country’s independence.

Urgent issues of the bilateral relationship between Ukraine and Egypt were discussed at the meeting, and an exchange of information on current political situation in both countries was also made.

The Egyptian side was informed of the latest developments in cooperation between Ukraine and the EU, as well as the immediate prospects on this way, and also of the Ukrainian Chairmanship in the OSCE, including the successful participation of the Egyptian delegation in the OSCE Children and Youth Summit (July 20 – August1, 2013, ICC «Artek», the Crimea, Ukraine).
